High Street 5 is a dance/rhythm MMO with an emphasis on building the game community. The MMO currently has thousand of players enjoying the large selection of musical tracks. Unlike other dancing MMOs on the market, High Street 5 uses a full 3D cityscape for players to traverse through. Avatars have a more real life feel to it compared to the anime-like ones used by competitors. Combined it gives a sense of a real community for players. As you may bump into each other, get into an idle chat just like a real community should.

The rhythm games are played in designated areas within the city. Each area can be accessed with their respective passes.  Upon entering the dance areas players will be able to requests songs through an NPC. Selected songs are played through out the area, so all players are dancing to one particular song at the same time. When the song begins all players within the area may begin their challenges. The animation and style of play is more like a freestyle dance party because you begin and end your dance where you stand on the stage, there are no designated areas in order to join.

The game is played through directional inputs, the likes of DDR and other rhythm games, but with the use of they keyboard. Hardcore players may rest at ease as this is MMO most probably has the highest difficulty of any rhythm MMOs. But rest assured there are modes that are still manageable for even the most inexperienced rhythm gamer.
