Avatars have a more real life feel to it compared to the anime-like ones used by competitors. Combined it gives a sense of a real community for players. The rhythm games are played in designated areas within the city. Each area can be accessed with their respective passes. Upon entering the dance areas players will be able to requests songs through an NPC. Selected songs are played through out the area, so all players are dancing to one particular song at the same time. When the song begins all players within the area may begin their challenges. The animation and style of play is more like a freestyle dance party because you begin and end your dance where you stand on the stage, there are no designated areas in order to join.
The game is played through directional inputs, the likes of DDR and other rhythm games, but with the use of they keyboard. Hardcore players may rest at ease as this is MMO most probably has the highest difficulty of any rhythm MMOs.
